ALTERATION TERMS

Alteration quotes are inclusive of fit alterations recorded at your first fitting. Any additional alterations requested beyond the final fitting will be quoted and invoiced separately.

Alterations require parts and sometimes all of your dress to be taken apart therefore our team take the uttermost care however; the customer must accept that there may be minor imperfections and needle holes from the original construction once your dress is altered. While it is most unlikely Gown and Altar will not take responsibility for damage to the garment while it is in their procession during the alterations process.

Heirloom dresses are extremely delicate. If the fabric frays, rips or perishes during the alterations process our team will repair in the best way possible to achieve the best overall look. Gown and Altar cannot be held responsible for damage to vintage pieces during the alterations process.

Gown and Altar will not accept responsibility for make-up and stains on the garment before or during the fitting and alterations process. Please avoid wearing body oils, make-up and do not wear fake tan to your fittings to keep your gown looking good.

The final fitting and collection must be scheduled within 2 weeks of the alterations being completed.

PAYMENT

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order and to ensure on time completion of your dress for your wedding date.

The balance is invoiced once your dress is complete and must be paid prior to your final fitting or on the collection date.

All payments can be paid by bank deposit or VISA, AMEX and Mastercard through stripe payment systems or instore Eftpos. We also offer After-pay.

All purchase transactions will be calculated and processed in New Zealand dollars.

CANCELLATION

Please let us know in writing if you wish to cancel your order. We will happily refund your deposit less the cost of any labour and materials that has already occurred. If your alterations have been started or completed your deposit is non-refundable.
